Casa Nuestra Carignan

CARIGNAN

Grapes for this wine come from 125 year-old (!) vines near Oakley in California. The vines are planted in sandy soils and so have survived phylloxera. This old-world wine from the grape variety native to Spain offers aromas of ripe red fruit, such as cranberries, and earthy aromas. The combination of a nice acidity and tannins, rounded by the vines’ age and oak ageing, makes this wine a great food companion. It will pair well with rustic dishes, such as hearty meat stews or home-made juicy burgers.
